At the end of the day . . . or Aug. 14 bargaining update, part two

No real movement yet

After a full day of bargaining, we are a little disappointed to report that there is no real movement yet on our main issues. We put a stronger class size proposal on the table – one with effective language to put real limits on our class sizes but their response was woefully inadequate. We are slightly encouraged by some movement on TRI pay and on control of the related time. We leave the session today hoping tomorrow’s session will yield more since, after today’s session, there are only a dozen days left before Aug. 26 – and, so far, only five are scheduled for bargaining. We appreciate the support we received from SKEA members this morning. We enjoyed our sweets.

See posts below for more detailed information about today’s session.
